If you’re a lover of makeup then you probably have a ton of makeup sitting around that you haven’t gotten around to trying out yet, and the truth is you might never get around to trying them out because new products are always being released and hitting the shelves. There’s nothing wrong with trying out new products, but you don’t want to keep having your unused products lying around and cluttering up. They’re plenty of things to do with your unused makeup and here are a few ideas.
Donate It/ Give It Away
You can always donate your unused makeup. One well-known organization is Project Beauty Share. They collect personal hygiene, cosmetic, and beauty products, and distributes them among non-profit organizations. There is one small issue though. They’re only located in Spokane Washington for the time being, but they hope to expand to other states in the near future. If you don’t live in Spokane Washington there are still women’s shelters in your area where you can donate your unused and gently used makeup.
In the meantime, you could give your unused makeup to family, friends, or people who you may know at work. Ask around your office, or post to Instagram or Twitter. Reaching out to ask if anyone might want some new makeup is always a great idea. People love free things and who would say no to free makeup.
Facebook now has an option for you to list your unwanted and unused makeup for sale for people in your area. People who are interested can send you payment and you can send them their products. You can also put up a posting on Instagram to sell your unwanted makeup as well.
You can take your unused makeup and make your own custom makeup for yourself. Make different colors to make something fun and new. They’re plenty of tutorials on Youtube showing you how to depot eyeshadows and mix highlighters together to create something custom for yourself. The process is easy and it’s fun to do in your downtime on a relaxing day.
